Hi, I'm Jingyi Dong, u can call me Jery.
I am an independent animation creator and animation education promoter. I graduated from Royal College of Art and Beihang University.
I'm passionate about stop-motion, and a few GIF works I produced have been shortlisted for the Feinaki Beijing Animation Week several times. They have also been exhibited at the Beijing Times Museum, Wuhan K11, etc. I have also cooperated with the Guangdong He Art Museum and Shunde The Happening Place.
Animation has always been my way of giving form to emotions, a bridge to explore the depths of my inner world. Right now, I’m captivated by the form of the 3D Phenakistoscope, using it as a medium to generate physical illusions. I’m drawn to the concepts of circulation and multi-dimensional space, and light and shadow have become my primary creative tools.
I’m looking forward to collaborating with different artists and hoping that the collision of inspirations will create new sparks~
